Things are always challenging, and they should be. I see some students, adults, and parents give up too fast. They think that life is easy and they "deserve" to not work for great results. This video nicely explains that we all have to change our attitudes and "Handle the HARD better!" Three Flute Videos
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cOjoXl6DQ0 I really liked this video because I usually have trouble with fast notes in music because the notes always come out slower than they are supposed to. The teacher, Dr. David Klee, really helped explain how to play notes faster. I think that this video will inspire others at BRMS because many people look at a piece of music, try to play the fast notes, get frustrated, and give up. With this video, students can learn how to play notes faster, so maybe kids will start to play music more with these skills. 2.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0XfoandDjk This lesson on how to create a better sound on the flute really inspired me because whenever I listen to a professional flutist perform, I always wonder how they achieve the beautiful tone. After I watched this video, I started to learn how to make a clearer note on the flute. If students who play the flute at BRMS watch this video, they will have much better tone quality, which would make the band sound even better. The students could really benefit from this video because with a better sound, their performances will sound so much more professional. 3.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4MeQSeP6TU This video taught me that I have been breathing improperly the entire time I have been playing the flute. You aren’t supposed to breath from the chest, but your diaphragm. Whenever I’m performing, I always take really deep breaths, but apparently not the right way. This video can really inspire others at BRMS because it will make them questions if they are even performing the basics of their instrument correctly, like something so simple as breathing. |
